Students: Manage Permissions For a Third Party
Students are able to grant third-party access to their personal and academic information by setting up permissions in Workday. For example, this allows trusted parties to:
- Make a payment
- View financial aid packages
- View account activity (e.g., account transactions like charges, payments, financial aid, refunds, etc.)
- View student statements
- View student classes
- View student grades
- Generate an unofficial transcript (typically used for verification, such as car insurance discounts)
Within Workday, students can create a third-party user name for a trusted individual and select the access they wish to share.
Password resets
Contact the IT Solution Center to reset a third-party account password. Students are not able to reset a third-party password — do not delete and re-add the third-party account.
Friends and Family: Set Up a Third-Party Account
Family members should not use student Net-ID logins to access Workday information. Students can grant third-party access in Workday by setting up account permissions for trusted parties.
Step-by-step instructions
Logging in
- Third-party logins have a specific Workday link
- The Workday app does not work for third-party access (use a browser)
