To submit your emergency contact information, go to Workday and choose “Emergency Contact” from the left navigation menu on the homepage. This contact information is considered confidential and is only available to campus emergency response staff.
ISU Alert notifications
The ISU Alert emergency notification system quickly alerts students, faculty, and staff by phone, text and email. Update your contact information, check for updates, and learn more about emergency communications on the ISU Alert website.

The ISU Online Directory differentiates between verified and guest users. Information displayed to verified users include: name, major, classification, and ISU email address. Policies
The Clery Act at Iowa State
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), is a federal law requiring colleges and universities to disclose to the United States Department of Education statistics regarding specific crimes occurring on or near campus property. An annual Security Report, published by October 1 of every year, is distributed to students, faculty.
Alcohol and Drug-Free Campus
Iowa State University is committed to providing a healthy and safe learning, work and residential living environment for all its community members. ISU takes this issue seriously and has policies and services devoted to reducing and preventing drug and alcohol abuse and use on campus and in the workplace.
Federal Requirements
Iowa State University is required by law to make available to enrolled students, prospective students, and their parents certain information about its operations. Such information pertains to: (1) general institutional operation, (2) financial assistance, (3) general completion and graduation rates, (4) annual security report, (5) completion and graduation rates for student athletes, and (6) athletic program participation rates and financial support.
