Exceptions to mandatory fees assessed to all students are included below.

Activity, Services, and Building Fees

  • Courses for which no tuition is assessed.
  • Undergraduate students exclusively enrolled in noncredit (R-credit) internships and co-op experiences.
  • Graduate students enrolled in Graduate Studies courses: GRST 6800; PSYCH 5970, 6970.
  • High school students enrolled under the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Act (PSEOA).
  • Students in a specifically identified course or program may pay the temporarily off-campus activity fee in lieu of the standard activity fee.
  • If you have not been assessed the Student Activity, Services, Building, and Recreation Fee, and would like to have it added to your account, please see instructions to request the fee for the Student Activity Fee.

Technology Fees

  • Courses for which no tuition is assessed.
  • Undergraduate students exclusively enrolled in noncredit (R-credit) internships and co-op experiences.
  • High school students enrolled under the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Act (PSEOA).

Health Fee

  • Enrollment of four (4) credits or less.
  • Graduate students enrolled in Graduate Studies courses: GRST 6800; PSYCH 5970, 6970.
  • High school students enrolled under the Post-secondary Enrollment Options Act.
  • Lakeside Laboratory courses.
  • Undergraduate students exclusively enrolled in noncredit (R-credit) internships and co-op experiences.
  • Students in a specifically identified course or program may pay the temporarily off-campus health fee in lieu of the health activity fee.
  • NOTE: Students enrolled in the ISU Students and Scholars Insurance Plan--including international students and graduate students on assistantship (C-Base)--are required to pay the health fee even if they are in an exemption category listed above.

Health Facility Fee

  • Graduate students enrolled in Graduate Studies courses: GRST 6800; PSYCH 5970, 6970.
